About us

Aidan is a Chartered Surveyor of long standing, having qualified in 1973. He spent the first 9 years of his career at Lisney and then moved to Osborne King and Megran which subsequently became Hamilton Osborne King and in 2006 was acquired by Savills plc. Aidan was a Director of the Company from 1983 and its Managing Director from 1995 until 2003, becoming Chairman in 2003. He led the sale of the Company to Savills in 2006 and remained as Chairman of Savills Ireland until he retired from the Estate Agency business in 2009. During his Estate Agency years he specialised in the Retail and Development markets. In his years as Managing Director and Chair he had extensive involvement and oversight over all sectors of the Commercial and Residential markets.

After retirement from Savills he provided personalised advisory services to, inter alia, Rabo / ACC bank ,and IBRC and to a number of private property / pension funds as well as taking on several Non Executive roles in respect of both Irish and International property.

He served as a Non Executive director of Cairn Homes Plc at and post its flotation, and for 9 years from its flotation, as a Non Executive Director of I-RES Reit plc. He was a member of the Investment Committee of Friends First Property Fund since 2016, through its acquisition by Aviva and continued as a member of the Investment Committee of the Aviva Property fund until early 2024. He is currently Chairman of the Investment Committee for the Pearl and IHEF Equity Funds.

He is a Council Member of Property Industry Ireland ( PII ) having served as its Chair from until and is a former President of the Irish Auctioneers and Valuers Institute.

He is assisted by Sarah Jane Maguire, also a Chartered Surveyor, who spent the earlier years of her career at Hooke and McDonald and at Savills. She joined Aidan in 2012.
